This was a fascinating observation by a Grade 2 child at The Cambridge International School last week.

In that one sentence, the child was also noticing size, scale, perspective, and another living world within the garden.

Moments like these remind us why gardening should be a regular part of school life. It slows children down enough to notice, compare, imagine, ask questions, and make sense of the world around them.
